1. Where these rules apply
These guidelines apply to profile names and photos, friend requests, public course uploads and corrections, live games, tournament rosters, scorecards, and any other user-provided content visible to another golfer.
2. What belongs on Roundline
- Accurate golf-course details and good-faith corrections.
- Names and profile photos you have permission to use.
- Respectful competition, scoring, teams, and tournament information.
- Constructive reports that identify a genuine safety or accuracy concern.
3. Prohibited content and behavior
Do not create, upload, share, or encourage:
- Child sexual abuse or exploitation, grooming, or child sexual abuse material. Roundline has zero tolerance for this content.
- Sexually explicit, pornographic, or sexually exploitative content.
- Hate speech, slurs, dehumanization, or attacks based on a protected characteristic.
- Harassment, bullying, stalking, threats, intimidation, or targeted humiliation.
- Violence, self-harm encouragement, dangerous activity, illegal conduct, or instructions that facilitate wrongdoing.
- Another person's private or sensitive information without permission.
- Impersonation, deceptive identity claims, manipulated results, fraud, or misleading course information submitted intentionally.
- Spam, repetitive promotion, malicious links, scraping, or attempts to manipulate rankings or reports.
- Copyright, trademark, privacy, publicity, or other rights violations.
4. Report and block
Roundline provides separate, clearly labeled Report and Block controls in Friends and live games. Public courses can be reported, and all courses from an uploader can be hidden.
Reports enter Roundline's moderation queue with the reported item, reason, optional details, and review status. Blocking removes an existing friendship and prevents or hides future community interactions where applicable. A retained scorecard may still show a blocked golfer when needed to preserve the round's result.
5. How moderation works
Reports are reviewed based on severity, available context, repetition, and risk to users. Roundline may hide or remove content, correct or unpublish course data, warn a user, restrict community features, suspend or delete an account, preserve evidence, or refer illegal content to authorities when appropriate.
Imminent threats and suspected child exploitation receive priority. Roundline may report apparent child sexual abuse material or exploitation to the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children or relevant authorities as required by law.
6. Appeals and urgent safety
To provide context for a moderation decision or appeal an account restriction, email safety@roundlinegolf.com. Include the account email and enough detail to identify the decision, but do not email illegal imagery.
Roundline is not an emergency service. If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
